Go International Program: Belgrade, SERBIA 24 & 25 OCTOBER 2011

The programme ‘GO INTERNATIONAL’, which is under the auspices of the Hellenic Ministry of Foreign Affairs and implemented by Eurobank EFG in cooperation with the three main Export Associations of Greece: the Panhellenic Exporters Association (PSE), the Exporters’ Association of Northern Greece (SEVE) and the Exporters’ Association of Crete (SEK), is evolving into a strong institution for supporting the extroversion and networking of Greek Exporters with foreign import companies.

After the successful Business Delegation and Forum to Cyprus last February, in the context of which more than 1000 business meetings took place, Serbia is the next destination of the Programme. The next ‘Go International’ delegation and forum ‘Greek – Serbian Bilateral Trade & Regional Synergies’ will take place in Belgrade on October, 24th & 25th 2011, where representatives of Greek export companies will have the opportunity to meet with significant importers from 6 Balkan countries (Serbia, Montenegro, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Hungary) and Russia.

In the context of the Forum, the Greek and Serbian government will be represented on a ministerial level.

Significant foreign import companies, which operate in the markets-targets of the Delegation have already shown interest in participating in the direct business meetings with Greek exporters. The participation of Eurobank EFG A.D. Beograd, the affiliated company of Eurobank EFG in Serbia, through the information of its corporate clients about the possibilities of developing cooperation schemes with Greek export companies, plays an important role in the successful implementation of the Programme. Respective initiatives have been undertaken as well by the Offices for Economic and Commercial Affairs of the Greek Embassies abroad, the Serbian Chamber of Commerce as well as the Business Council Greece – Serbia to their members.

Choosing Serbia as the country, that hosts the next Business Delegation, is based upon the dynamic economic and commercial affairs between Greece and Serbia that impress in an ideal way the excellent relationships of these two countries on a national, political and economic levels as well as the special role of the neighbouring country in the greater geographical area. It is worth mentioning that Serbia is the only European country that holds a status of special commercial agreements with Russia, which enables the Serbian market to become a bridge to a significant market including all the former Eastern Europe.

Bilateral meetings between Greek exporters and foreign importers will be pre-arranged and carried out in areas especially created for the event. Therefore, all interested parties should state their participation in due course.

The Forum ‘Greek – Serbian Bilateral Trade & Regional Synergies’ will take place in the evening of October, 24th with the participation of Greek and Serbian government officials.

The final program will be forwarded to you upon your confirmation of interest.

As a participant, you will have the opportunity to engage in discussions with each of the Greek companies on a one-to-one basis. Bilateral meetings will be established beforehand and will take place at Hyatt Regency, Belgrade. The participation to the B2B meetings, and the Forum, is free of charge.

In addition, Eurobank EFG will provide bed and breakfast accommodation for 2 nights to 1 person of each of the first 15 participating companies per country.

Your quick decision, therefore, on the matter, is recommended.
